“Vinger af tid” (“Wings of Time” in english) is an evocative and demanding choral arrangement for 6-part treble choir with soloist (the solo line may advantageously be shared by several singers). The current edition of the score is in Danish, and an English version is currently in development. The sheet music includes all choral parts as well as a piano guide, which is occasionally written out in full score.

When “Wings of time” becomes a living soundscape
In the video below, you can hear an example of a band-style accompaniment featuring an electronic beat created from recorded sounds: rhythmic breathing as the underlying pulse, a heartbeat functioning as the downbeat, a snare-like sound shaped from a high-heeled shoe striking the floor, and more. The song has an intense, atmospheric quality, and the poetic lyrics revolve around a dark narrative core. Towards the end of the piece, all singers improvise freely on the words “fly away”. On cue, the voices gather again for the song’s final outro.
This improvisational element can be used to strengthen the singers’ courage, independence, and musical presence, while creating a safe space for creative and soloistic exploration.
